Reading
My growth as a reader has improved a little since the beginning of the year. By reading Me, Earl, And the Dying Girl, Bean Tree, Lord of the Flies, and now Macbeth, I've gain confidence reading new words. My reading level probably improved two levels and showed major improve in reading in front of a class. By reading books at my level, it also carried on to my major papers. In my Literary Analysis Paper about the Lord of the Flies, I used words such as sensation, suspense, civilization, and independence. In my Nelson Mandela paper, I used words like imprisonment, inequality, tension, and majority. Another piece of growth in my reading is understanding the book. By reading more frequently, I can understand and be able to identify big points that relates to the topics we learn in class. Understanding the topic also helps me during test and different activities. I'm proud of myself for improving my comprehensive qualities as a reader.
